Features-

Cavity Back Wedge - If you’re playing modern cavity back Irons or hollow Irons, it only makes sense to play premium cavity back Wedges, too. New CBX 4 ZipCore Wedges are that ideal fit. Their cavity back construction puts lots of forgiveness in your short game. They’re plenty versatile for all the greenside plays and the occasional finesse shot. Plus, they have all the same tech as our flagship tour Wedges. Oh, and their highly refined, sharp-looking design blends perfectly in the bag.

HYDRAZIP - Our proprietary dynamic blast and laser-milled line system creates roughness to enhance friction on the face—maximizing spin in wet or dry conditions, and from anywhere around the green—while also reducing glare at address.

Ultizip Grooves - UltiZip’s network of sharp, deep, and tightly spaced face grooves maximizes performance at contact. By slicing through and channeling debris to bite harder, UltiZip offers purer spin, more control, and more consistency.

Zipcore - Set in the heart of CBX 4 ZipCore Wedges, this lightweight and low-density core technology works in concert with the cavity back design—reducing vibrations while also shifting weight and boosting MOI for increased feel, control, consistency, and forgiveness over last generation.

FAQs

Attribute Based FAQs
How Often Should I Change My Golf Wedges?
A typical wedge will last 75 rounds before a significant decline in performance. An average golfer who plays regularly changes their Wedges every 18 to 24 months.
What Wedges must I have in my bag?
There are three main types of wedges that you must carry in your bag, a pitching, sand and lob wedge.
What does the bounce mean on a golf wedge?
Bounce is the angle formed by the leading edge of the wedge, the ground and the lowest point of the sole when the shaft is perfectly vertical. When you hit the ball, the bounce is the part of the wedge that hits and moves through the ground or bounces off. It is what allows you to make good contact, control, and spin on your wedge shots.
What degree wedge should I use around the green?
The most common wedges used around the green are 52-56 degrees. You may require a different lofted wedge based on your ball lie and shot you are trying to hit.
What wedge grind is most forgiving?
K grind is the most forgiving wedge for all shots and is great for mid-high handicappers. K Grind is currently only available in Titleist Vokey Wedges.
What are the best wedges in golf?
Every golf wedge is different and designed with the best technology to support different conditions. There are no such particular best wedges in golf, it’s just you have to decide which wedge is best for you. For this, you can read our blog “Your guide to buy golf wedges” and select your best golf wedge

DIFFERENT TYPE OF WEDGES

Name Loft Range Ideal For Max Distance
Pitching Wedge(PW) 44-48° Full Shots into the Green & Long chip shots 100-130 Yards
Gap Wedge(AW/GW) 49-53° Full Shots into the green & rolling chip shots around the green 80-110 Yards
Sand Wedge 54-58° Bunker Shots & Controlled chip shots around the green 55-85 Yards
Lob Wedge 58-64° High Loft / High spin Chips around the green & High Bunker Shots & Flop Shots & Not Suitable for Full Shots 40-60 Yards

BUY WEDGES BASED ON TURF CONDITIONS

Turf Condition Bounce Deg Player Type
Soft turf and bunkers with soft and loose sand 12-14° Players who tend to dig the club in too much
Normal to firm 07-12° Players who like to create different shots around the green
Firm turf and bunkers with harder or more course sand 04-06° Players who hit high flop shots

All the magic in the wedge can be found in its sole. Bounce is simply the angle created between the leading edge and the lowest point of the sole or trailing edge. This is the part of the wedge that hits and moves through the ground or bounces off when you hit the ball. It's what helps you achieve proper contact, control and spin on your wedge shots.

WHAT LOFTS TO CARRY

Most professionals carry three or four wedges in their bag to offer variation and selection to their short game. The key in choosing a set of wedges is to make sure that there are no big gaps in loft between the lowest lofted iron in your bag and the first wedge, further also between each wedge. It's recommended to have four degrees of difference between each wedge. For example, if your pitching wedge has a 48° loft then you should have a 52° gap wedge, a 56° sand wedge, and a 60° lob wedge.
