Cleveland
CBZ Tour Satin Graphite Wedge
Our recipe for fantastic Wedges hasn’t changed much in recent years. Great spin. Pure feel. Sleek shape and versatile sole grinds. That’s what makes Cleveland Golf Wedges a mainstay in bags the world over. But this? This is a gamechanger. It’s challenging some of Wedge-making’s longest held truths. And doing so in ways we didn’t know were possible. This is CBZ with Z-Alloy. A new recipe, with an all-new steel, for our greatest achievement in game improvement Wedges to date.
Features-
- Z-ALLOY - Z-Alloy is a brand-new steel created by Cleveland Golf for a better feel. It's softer, lighter, and remarkably durable. It gives CBZ Wedges superior feel, better forgiveness, and more consistency.
- CAVITY BACK DESIGN - Thanks to CBZ's cavity back design and ZipCore Technology, the sweet spot is central—instead of heel-sided, where you're most likely to contact the ball. And since it's packed with MOI, you'll hit more successful shots more often.
- GELBACK TPU - For anyone still unfamiliar with GelBack TPU's feel benefits: this specially designed TPU insert sits behind the sweet spot to help dampen vibrations and enhance feel on every shot, so even miss-hits are buttery smooth.
- HYDRAZIP - HydraZip's face blasts and laser-milled lines maximize spin in wet conditions. Dynamically configured by loft groupings, it balances spin across lofts while enhancing performance in adverse weather.
- ULTIZIP - UltiZip's sharper grooves cut through grass and debris at contact, while deeper grooves help make space for grass, sand, dirt, or water to clear the impact zone, giving CBZ Wedges stronger, more consistent spin from the fairway, rough, or bunker.
- ZIPCORE - This low-density core technology replaces heavier material in the heel and hosel area with a lightweight material. This proprietary core allows us to shift the Center of Gravity closer to where you strike the ball, while simultaneously adding MOI.

BUY WEDGES BASED ON TURF CONDITIONS
| Turf Condition | Bounce Deg | Player Type |
|---|---|---|
| Soft turf and bunkers with soft and loose sand | 12-14° | Players who tend to dig the club in too much |
| Normal to firm | 07-12° | Players who like to create different shots around the green |
| Firm turf and bunkers with harder or more course sand | 04-06° | Players who hit high flop shots |
All the magic in the wedge can be found in its sole. Bounce is simply the angle created between the leading edge and the lowest point of the sole or trailing edge. This is the part of the wedge that hits and moves through the ground or bounces off when you hit the ball. It's what helps you achieve proper contact, control and spin on your wedge shots.
WHAT LOFTS TO CARRY
Most professionals carry three or four wedges in their bag to offer variation and selection to their short game. The key in choosing a set of wedges is to make sure that there are no big gaps in loft between the lowest lofted iron in your bag and the first wedge, further also between each wedge. It's recommended to have four degrees of difference between each wedge. For example, if your pitching wedge has a 48° loft then you should have a 52° gap wedge, a 56° sand wedge, and a 60° lob wedge.
